No Superhuman

She’s no superhuman
She hasn’t stepped over anyone
Nor does she compete with anyone.
In fact,
She is still a little unsure;
She still wobbles when she sees an obstacle
She hears the chatters and the whispers
She sees the fingers pointing at her inaptitude
But everyday
She wears her winning attitude
She ignores and refutes
The expectations of those who wait for her to lose
Everyday
She takes little steps — left-foot, right-foot forward
Into the unknown.
She’s no superhuman
She simply has the courage to step into her shoes,
Everyday.
